The Action stage is characterized by visible efforts and behaviors that reflect the changes the individual is trying to implement. For example, someone trying to quit smoking might start using nicotine patches or attend support groups at this stage.

Understanding this sequence helps emphasize the importance of moving beyond planning to taking concrete steps toward behavioral change. This progression is crucial for effectively supporting individuals in their journey toward healthier behaviors.
